Kevin Weeks, Oscar Fiorinotto and the rest of the team at Supaloc Racing would like to wish our suppliers, partners, supporters and fans a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

The 2011 motorsport season has been a challenging but successful one for Supaloc Racing. Undoubtedly the highlight of our season has been Kevin’s form in the Australian GT Championship in the Supaloc Racing Lamborghini Gallardo. Kevin showed a glimpse of what was to come in the opening round of the championship at Adelaide, when he qualified in the top three. He then claimed pole position at Eastern Creek, and scored a sensational race win at Townsville, also breaking the lap record. To finish the season, he came home third at Mount Panorama.

In addition to Kevin’s driving skill, Supaloc Racing’s Australian GT Championship success can be attributed to the revolutionary Supashock Racing Suspension. A number of other GT competitors fitted the suspension to their race cars during the season, and reported an immediate transformation of their cars’ dynamics, balance and handling. Greg Crick was particularly impressed with the Supashock Suspension, winning numerous races in his Dodge Viper and dominating the last round of the Championship with another lap record and finishing third in the overall season standings.

Supaloc Racing has a rich history in tarmac rallying and the tradition continued in 2011. As an Adelaide-based business, Supaloc is passionate about supporting South Australian events and this year, we were proud to sponsor the return of classic rallying to South Australia in the form of the Supaloc Classic Targa Adelaide. Even better, Kevin Weeks and co-driver Toni Feaver took outright victory in Supaloc Racing’s Supashock-equipped 1974 Porsche 911 Carrera RS for the fourth year running in this fantastic and very competitive rally.

Supaloc Racing has provided technical support services for various motorsport operations, including V8 Supercar Television’s production and coverage of V8 Supercar Championship rounds on Channel 7. Supashock has also commenced development on a damper system with a Formula 1 team, and tested and developed dampers in Europe with an FIA GT team.

Our results would not have been possible without the support of our very special suppliers and partners:

We would also like to thank Auto Action, Motorsport News / eNews and Speedcafe.com for their coverage of our racing activities throughout the season.

Over the off season, we will be working hard as we prepare for a 2012 Australian GT Championship campaign in our new Ford GT, which we purchased from Lambda Performance. The Ford GT looks stunning, and we are looking forward to developing it into a race-winning package.

Currently under development is the new 2012 Supashock system. A full year of development has gone into the new design, and current prototype testing has revealed even better results than the 2011 model. We are eagerly anticipating its performance on our racetracks in 2012.

Best wishes and special thanks to all the people and their families who have supported us, and may you all be successful in your endeavours in 2012.
