Supaloc Racing are in control of the 2010 ASP Rally in the Adelaide Hills, with the Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera R of Kevin Weeks and John Allen leading the event by 1 minute 18 seconds with one day remaining.

The Mitsubishi Lancer Evo XIII of Andrew Burnard and Brian Virgo, which uses Supaloc suspension and damper components, is also handily-placed, running in fourth position overall.

Kevin Weeks is ecstatic with the performance of the Lamborghini so far, especially considering it is running a spare engine after the primary engine failed in testing during the week.

“The engine is down on power compared to the one we were running before, but the chassis and handling are absolutely sensational,” he said. The sequential gearshift is very good as well.

“This rally has been all about giving me an opportunity to get some time in the car and get used to driving it, because I didn’t get much seat time in Targa Tasmania due to our problems in that event,” Weeks said.
