Having finished the new race car less than 48hrs earlier, Kevin Weeks and Rebecca Crunkhorn strapped themselves in for a test run up the mountain on Friday morning.  Kevin was not thrilled with the response of the engine and steering of the beast. Head mechanic Brad Greenslade gave the steering a boost and checked over the motor.

 Kevin Weeks and Bec Crunkhorn  Supaloc Porsche 911 RS

Supaloc's man of steel Kevin Weeks and navigator Rebecca Crunkhorn took their 1974 Porsche 911 RS to a comfortable win with a trouble free run over the four days of Classic Adelaide. The team finished one minute & fourty seconds in front of fellow South Australian's Hamish Gibson & Ben Scott in a '74 Holden Commodore and Roger Patterson & Paul Whatnell also driving a Porsche.

Day three arrived with wet conditions prevailing throughout the Adelaide hills. With a handy led the Supaloc team decided to take a cautious approach. The team took 5 wins in the six stages contested with a solid lead of 3 minutes; 22 seconds over fellow Porsche racers Roger Patterson and Paul Whatneff followed by Commodore pilots Hamish Gibson & Ben Collins, a further 0.3 seconds in arrears.

Day two saw the Supaloc Racing Porsche take four of the eight stages run today. Opening with blistering pace the team took the first two stages of the morning before overnight leading combination of Glenny & Lang in their 1981 Commodore took the following two. Consistency was again the key for the Supaloc Team whom now sit on top of the leader board.

The Supaloc Evo VIII driven by Andrew Burnard and Tim Margach has placed 7th in the 'Modern' category after the first day of Classic Adelaide 2009.

The day was unfortunately marked with tragedy following the horrific crash and double fatality of Victorian drivers Gary Tierney and David Carra.

Supaloc's man of steel Kevin Weeks and navigator Rebecca Crunkhorn were pillars of consistency pushing the limits on extremely hot and testing road conditions during day one of the Classic Adelaide competition. With six stages in the record books, the team sits in second place only 6.1 seconds behind the early favourites Glenny & Lang, driving a 1981 Holden Commodore.

With temperatures pushing 39 degrees the Supaloc Racing team put in an incredible climb up Devil's Elbow just off the South Eastern Freeway this afternoon to be fourth in it's class. The prologue is used to obtain a starting order for day one when the racing starts. Prologue has no time relevance to the actual event..

With less then 24 hours to the start of the 2009 Classic Adelaide Tarmac Rally the Supaloc Racing team are putting the finishing touches to the beautiful black Porsche after a shake down run earlier this week.

"The car looks fantastic, the boys have done a great job in preparing for this event"  commented Kevin Weeks.
