Supaloc Technical Development

Supaloc Shock Absorbers

Shocks / Dampers

Supaloc Racing has developed a new damper and strut assembly, combining technology from Europe with Australian V8 Supercar suspension technology.  Dampers developed by Supaloc Racing feature significantly improved performance over the market leaders, thanks to their ease of adjustability, reduced friction and improvements in geometric changes encompassed with vert efficient and appealing aesthetic design.  Supaloc Racing dampers also offer a much smoother ride than other dampers, without any compromise in handling agility.

Supaloc Racing also currently uses full vehicle simulations for Subaru Impreza WRX, Mitsubishi Lancer EVO and Nissan Skyline GTR, to find optimum braking systems, suspension settings and tyre choices.

Flywheel / Clutch Systems

Supaloc Racing has developed novel flywheel / clutch systems for use in Porsches. These systems provide gains of up to 40% in mass, inertia and modulation.

Race Simulation

Supaloc Racing is using the latest in Race Vehicle simulation (Chassissim) and is currently contracted in providing this technology to Kelly Racing in V8 Supercar competition with great success. This technology is also used in Supaloc Racing’s current race cars.  Chassisim is also used in deriving settings for Supaloc Suspension and currently has models for Subaru and Mitsubishi EVO.

Other Developments

Supaloc Racing has provided the design, development and manufacture of front uprights for the Paul Morris Motorsport V8 Supercar team. It has also provided design and development of the current 2009 V8 Supercars of Todd and Rick Kelly including full FEA analysis to the current roll cages in the Kelly Cars. A number of Australian racing drivers and teams are provided with race engineering consultancy services by Supaloc Racing, including Kelly Racing, Independent Race Cars, Eggleston Motorsport and Edgell Motorsport and Mark Petch Motorsport.
