Targa Wrest Point 2010: Stage three of day one has seen the once pristine Lamborghini racer leave the road after skidding across loose surface gravel, sliding down an embankment and striking a tree. The Supaloc race team tested the Lamborghini Gallardo Supperlagerra Type R in Tasmania yesterday with sensational results.
"I was thrilled with the ease of gear changing and the speed straight off" explained team driver Kevin Weeks. "I'm really looking forward to the event ahead.

The Team at Supaloc Racing would like to take the opportunity to wish all a Merry and Safe Christmas. We look forward to an exciting 2010 where we will contest many of Australia's great Tarmac events.

Although disappointed with the weekends lack of result at the Mount Buller sprint, the Supaloc team have come away extremely confident that once all the bugs are sorted from the new machine its going to be one hell of a race car.

Having finished the new race car less than 48hrs earlier, Kevin Weeks and Rebecca Crunkhorn strapped themselves in for a test run up the mountain on Friday morning.  Kevin was not thrilled with the response of the engine and steering of the beast. Head mechanic Brad Greenslade gave the steering a boost and checked over the motor.

With a great deal of midnight oil being spent attempting to complete the entire strip and rebuild of the Supaloc Lamborghini, the team has tentatively booked a testing session on Wednesday of this week.
